For the first time since 1999, Atlanta returns to the World Series in search of its first championship since 1995. The Braves advanced by defeating the reigning World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers in six games, including a 4-2 win in Game 6 on Saturday. The Dodgers had beaten the Braves in the National League Championship Series the year before.
