After the Chiefs’ heartbreaking loss in Super Bowl 50, Chris Jones made a solemn vow to never let his team lose another game. It’s not just about sports, it’s also about being able to perform beyond your expectations.

The “chris jones chiefs” is a person who has made a solemn vow to the Chiefs Kingdom. They are known for their loyalty, diligence and dedication to the team.

Getty Chris Jones, a defensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs, celebrates a playoff win with supporters.

It’s easy to be shell-shocked with a lengthy list of departures this offseason, including Tyreek Hill, Charvarius Ward, Jarran Reed, Byron Pringle, Demarcus Robinson, Anthony Hitchens, and most certainly Tyrann Mathieu.

Having said that, the Kansas City Chiefs still have a strong core — something that other NFL teams have been trying to achieve for the better part of two decades.

Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Chris Jones, Orlando Brown Jr., and promising young players like Creed Humphrey and Nick Bolton are among them. Those strong pillars in key positions should weather any future storms, and one has recently made a solemn commitment to the Chiefs Kingdom.

Jones terrifies fans before eliciting a collective sigh of relief.

In the middle of all of this chaos, the Chiefs’ top game-breaker on defense did what he does best, which is connect with the fans.

Jones put out two tweets within two minutes of each other on March 29. “Love you, KC,” read the first.

This sparked instant conjecture among supporters as to whether the crucial defender was hinting towards his exit. “What is going on with the Chiefs?” one wrote. You shouldn’t be leaving either. Right now, I’m not a happy Chiefs fan.”

“Plz don’t make this imply you’re being moved,” said another. “With the way the Chiefs’ offseason has gone, Tweets like these may be nerve-racking,” another confessed.

Jones seemed to soon grasp that he had perplexed a sizable portion of the audience and clarified: “I’m here for life.”

Is There More to This Tweet Than It Appears?

Although the original assumption may have connoted a negative meaning, did Jones’ cryptic tweet contain good intentions?

The pass-rushing D-lineman is under contract through the end of 2023, according to Over the Cap, although there is a clear “exit” after 2022. If the Chiefs decide to cut Jones next summer, they will save $20 million in salary space.

No one is suggesting that general manager Brett Veach think about it. The point is that Jones’ current contract is approaching the kind of uncertainty that we saw with Hill, and a contract extension or restructure may alleviate a lot of that anxiety. Both would enable Kansas City to reduce Jones’ $29.415 million cap charge in 2022 while still giving him with long-term stability. It’s a win-win situation.

It would also fit with the story’s premise that Jones would be “here for the rest of his life.”

To be clear, a restructuring would simply improve the chances that Jones stays with the team until 2023, keeping the provisions of his original contract and providing him with more guaranteed money right now. Beyond that, an extension would clearly add additional years and financials.

Of course, it’s conceivable Jones was only attempting to cheer up any depressed supporters. This is the same person that drank a drink in the first row of Arrowhead Stadium after the Chiefs won a thrilling playoff overtime thriller against the Buffalo Bills in January.

Jones is a crowd-pleaser in more ways than one, and Chiefs Kingdom is pleased to have him in 2022, regardless of what happens with his contract.
