Tula “Big T” Fazakerley’s position in the veteran alliance was a hot topic this week, as several vets, particularly Tori Deal, voiced concerns about her allegiances. With doubts circulating, the teams took part in a terrifying task called Water Cave Recon, which required participants to leap 30 feet into the sea, swim into a sea cave, recover two explosives, and be carried down the shore by WaveRunners before swimming the rest of the way to the finish line.
The winning combination was Tori and Ed Eason, a freshly formed couple, however the challenge this week lost the program one cast member, Tommy Sheehan, who had to withdraw from the competition due to a concussion. As Tori pondered whether to seek vengeance on the lady who sent her in against Aneesa Ferreira on “Double Agents,” he left his companion Big T alone and defenseless.
The house voted for Tacha Akide and Jeremiah White, one of only two rookie-rookie pairs remaining in the game, during nominations. Tori and Ed then decided to eliminate Corey Lay and Berna Canbeldek. Because of Tommy’s absence, presenter TJ Lavin announced that Slipping Up will be a female-only elimination. Throughout the tough competition, Tacha and Berna seemed to be neck-and-neck, but Berna was able to utilize her acrobatics experience to beat out the Nigerian reality star and stay in the game. She decided to stay with CT Tamburello, leaving Big T and Jeremiah to work together.

Corey L. stated that she should have worked with the rookies instead of the vets because they would have her back, as Big T voiced concerns about her position in the vet alliance. He also mentioned his discussion with Gabo Szabo, and how sad it was that many rookies with experienced partners refused to establish a rookie partnership. He added, “I love Gabo, but he’s SO fortunate to have Nany.” “Every day, me and Michele fight, while other rookies get to sit around and do nothing. Sigh.”
“I recall, this water was so cold that it took away my breath,” Berna wrote of the expedition. She also supported Tacha and Jeremiah as they battled in the water throughout their heat. Corey L. cracked a joke:
I’m not going to lie. The mission’s highlight was seeing CT and Tommy’s asses. #thechallenge37 #thechallenge37 #thechallenge37 #thechall

Ashley’s remark in the episode, “Get that huge a** down here,” made her chuckle as well.
Kyle took a lot longer to leap over the cliff than the final cut indicated, according to Amanda. “I can’t believe @KyleCGShore let me jump alone!” she wrote. TEAM CHAOS, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA They didn’t show that he remained up there for a LONG TIME, afraid to plunge, while I drowned and turned into a Croatian popsicle lmfao #TheChallenge37.”
“This is a logistical issue, but as soon as we contact the jet ski our time stops and as soon as we release from the jet ski our time begins again,” Michele Fitzgerald said on Twitter regarding the mission. So, technically, finishing first does not imply that you had the greatest time.”
Many of the show’s stars discussed the elimination, Berna’s victory, and Tacha’s departure from the game.

…omg, I knew devin wouldn’t be able to warm up to me. I’m strange not because I’m weird, but because I’m not a puppet. #challenge37 #weirdoforlife

Even though he wasn’t on the season, one of the game’s legends chimed in with his two cents. “Everyone had best leave my @theogbig t alone,” Johnny Bananas, who doesn’t frequently tweet about the program, tweeted. In consideration, Josh praised Devin Walker’s statement, tweeting, “Quote of the [season]- if not you, then who…” Devin understands how to start a discussion.” “Devin tosses something in the center, and we bite!” Berna wrote. We had to learn the hard way, but devin did an excellent job. The plan worked!”
When Ashley shut down Tori in discussion and claimed it wasn’t appropriate to praise each other, Amanda stood by her. “Hahahahaha that’s right,” she tweeted. @MTVASHLEYBROOKE #TheChallenge37 Cruella shut that b**** downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Corey L. wrote first about being summoned down to the elimination floor by Tori, saying, “Like clockwork. My name is being called out once again. I’ve returned to the lair. Tori, my previous partner, is to be thanked. #TheChallenge37.” “Now I know for sure Tori won’t have my back in this game,” he said.
Berna commented on how difficult the elimination was, joking that it was essentially Nelson versus Ashley. “Props to both Berna and Tacha for putting in work,” Josh tweeted. Elim was a ruthless tyrant.”
Thank you for showing such support for me. I thank you and CT for doing that; it meant a lot to me at the time.
